He also holds an adjunct appointment at Sonoma State University and is on the Distinguished Consulting Faculty at Saybrook Graduate School. His initial career as a concert violinist was diverted into science after earning a Masters degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in psychology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. Excellent.
Interesting that, as well as as shrinks, meditators have to be reminded to allow their emotional response to occur strongly. Presumably blink reflex would also have problems?
